After meeting with Olivia, I connected her with our Youth Employment Services Specialist to provide her with some job readiness activities. Through this connection she was able to update her resume and complete mock interviews to build her skills and confidence. When she was ready, I was able to connect her with the Museum of Western Colorado for an internship interview. Olivia was brought on as an intern through our program, and within 2 months she was offered a full time position as the Executive Assistant to the Museum Director. This was as promotion for Olivia, taking her from working 21 hours per week @ $13/hour to working 40 hours per week @ $16.22/hour. Because this was an advancement opportunity, we were able to close out her internship and transition her into an OJT where she could develop the skills needed to be successful in her new position.
