L&M Industrial Fabrication
L&M Industrial Fabrication needed to educate its staff on the latest metal fabrication techniques in order to maintain its position as a viable Oregon business and stay competitive in the market.
Through the Linn Benton Lincoln Workforce Investment Board, L&M applied for and received Employer Workforce Training Funds. These funds allowed L&M to provide necessary training to its incumbent workforce so that employees understood current standards and new methodologies.
Outcomes & Benefits
Matt Smith of L&M shared these results: "This program has allowed us to provide living wage jobs throughout the current economic cycle. In addition to the fact that we have maintained employment over the last several years, we also derive over 35% of our revenues from out of state. We are an excellent example of how investments in Oregon businesses can reward Oregonians with growth of living wage jobs."
