Meet Brandi

Workforce Challenge

Brandi was in high school and having difficult with transportation, school fees, school supplies and clothing. Brandi qualified for the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Youth Succeed Program because her family was on TANF and food assistance.

Workforce Solution

The WIA Youth Succeed Program supported Brandi by providing funding for transportation, school fees, school supplies, clothing and incentives for good grades.

Outcomes & Benefits

With assistance from the WIA Youth Succeed Program, Brandi is on pace to graduate from high school in May 2015. Brandi was also able to get some college credit towards a dental assistant certificate through a program through her high school and a local tech school. Brandi and her case manager are currently looking into dental assistant programs so she can further her education.
