Meet Rebecca

Workforce Challenge

Rebecca was enrolled in the Workforce Investment Act Youth Succeed program to get assistance with acquiring her GED. She was also give help finding a career path in office operations through by Career Decision Maker assessment, designed to provide insights and knowledge that empower jobseekers to make confident and informed decisions.

Workforce Solution

Rebecca's case manager reviewed results from the career assessment and agreed that she would benefit from an internship opportunity through the program with the help of the Business Development Representative (BDR). Rebecca met with the BDR and set an interview with the Employment First program for an administrative assistant internship. She was later accepted to join the team for a 6-week experience.

Outcomes & Benefits

Rebecca has successfully started her internship with Employment First and is currently acquiring new administrative skills as an internship participant. In addition, she will be starting her GED preparation to increase her scores so she can complete her official GED testing in the near future.
