Workforce Challenge

I came into the American Job Center (AJC) seeking assistance with college. Being a DREAM Act member, I met my goal of graduating high school but I desired more. My problem was figuring out what to do with my future and to make sure I took the proper steps to get there.

Workforce Solution

The AJC helped me by being very supportive and comprehensive in the services they offered. They guided me to proper legal advice to work towards my citizenship. The AJC was also able to set me up with an internship with a law firm. To help me to success, the AJC provided me with classes on communication and inter-personal skills as well as professional work clothes. I also received support and guidance while applying for college.

Outcomes & Benefits

I have been hired on part-time where I interned and have built confidence in myself to find an amazing career. The AJC has also continued to support me while I go to school. I feel like I am now on the path to an amazing future!
