Meet Paul

Workforce Challenge

Paul had worked most of his adult life and had never really had to look for a job because he was always in high demand in the IT industry. When he became unemployed and didn't find another job immediately, he felt lost. He had to redefine his career goals, learn how to market himself better with an online presence, and rework his resume.

Workforce Solution

Through the tools the American Job Center offered, he was able to develop a new set of skills that allowed him to brand his talents and knowledge. He connected with the talent pool at the Jefferson County American Job Center and worked one-on-one with a career specialist. He created a clear focus on the positions for which he was applying. Paul utilized the career center on a daily basis as his office, providing a positive work environment with the encouragement from the staff to continue with his job search.
