Meet Tajanay

Workforce Challenge

Tajanay was enrolled in the Youth Succeed program to get assistance with his high school diploma needs. She had goal of enrolling in college after graduation and attended a high school that offered college class opportunities. Tajanay was in need of payment assistance for books, supplies, and fees for high school classes.

Workforce Solution

Youth Succeed assisted Tajanay with high school fees, books, school supplies, and other supportive services. She also received incentives for grades, leadership, and graduation needs that motivated and encouraged her to keep up with her studies and her goal to attend college in the fall.

Outcomes & Benefits

Tajanay successfully graduated from Mapleton Early College on May 30, 2014 and was accepted to Regis University in Denver, Colorado. She received various scholarships from Regis and private organizations including some support from Youth Succeed for college tuition needs. Tajanay successfully began classes in the fall of 2014 where she is working on a degree in the human service field with a career pathway goal of becoming a child advocate.
