Meet Kimberly

Workforce Challenge

Kimberly was enrolled in the Youth Succeed program to assist with high school graduation needs and certified nursing assistant training. Kimberly needed financial assistance to pay for CNA training since her high school was not able to support this type of training. She also needed help with school-related needs in order to graduate which included transportation to her school, which was approximately 30 miles round trip five days a week.

Workforce Solution

Youth Succeed assisted with paying for her CNA training which included her work tools, scrubs, TB testing, tuition, books, and state board fees. Kimberly also received transportation assistance to travel to and from her school from the program which help her maintain excellent attendance at school.

Outcomes & Benefits

Kimberly successfully completed her CNA training at Ann Rose School of Nursing as well as completed her externship at a local assisted living facility. She went on to pass her CNA state board testing and received her certification in both CNA and first aid. Kimberly now works as a "qualified medication administration personnel" and CNA at an assisted living facility in her community. She also successfully graduated from high school and is now planning on starting college in the fall. Congratulations, Kimberly!
