Meet Cathleen

Workforce Challenge

Cathleen moved to Lakewood and found that she was spending a lot of time Brighton. She decided to move once again to that area to be closer to family and other resources. The move to the northern part of the Metro Denver area pushed her to need a job that is not located so far away. Her daily commute to the Tech Center meant that she was waking up at 4 a.m. and it was starting to take a toll on her, her family, and her car.

Workforce Solution

Cathleen found a position Brighton within walking distance of her house. She used the services of the local Adams County Workforce & Business Center to update her resume, use the computers to search for jobs, and enroll in the A+ program. The workforce center staff also motivated her to keep going and encourage her not to give up.

Outcomes & Benefits

Cathleen found a position Brighton within walking distance of her house and is thrilled for her first day. She is looking forward to turning in her paperwork to the HR department for her future position.
