Meet Claudia

Workforce Challenge

Claudia recently quit her job due to violations of her employment rights including withheld wages. She was nervous about how she was going to be able to continue to support herself and her daughter as a single mother. She also did not have money to purchase professional clothes for interviewing.

Workforce Solution

Through the Adams County Workforce and Business Center's C.A.S.H. Closet, Claudia was able to pick out two professional outfits to interview in. She was offered a paid work experience with the workforce center's WIOA adult team.

Outcomes & Benefits

With confidence from a professional outfit, Claudia interviewed for the position and was offered a paid work experience which will help her continue to support herself and her child while she continues attending classes at Front Range Community College. During an interview on camera about the C.A.S.H. Closet, Claudia noted that the workforce center has helped her with everything she needed help with, not just finding a job, and it has helped her be successful.
