In Colorado, we view Industry Partnerships as the way we work with business to identify their challenges and opportunities related to the workforce. Colorado has built a successful network of regional Sectors Partnerships that have laid the foundation to launch additional Sectors Partnerships, which will utilize Career Pathways to meet industry’s needs for a skilled workforce. Through state-level collaboration, the Colorado Workforce System is partnering with the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and International Trade to connect these regional Sectors Partnerships with overarching state level Key Industry Networks.

Key Industry Networks: Colorado’s 14 Key Industries working to identify opportunities and address challenges specific to each primary industry statewide. For more information about the role workforce development plays in the Key Industry Networks, click here.

Career Pathways: Connecting Colorado’s current and future workforce to career opportunities, as identified by industry, and providing a clear path to the education and training needed for individuals to secure and thrive in these careers.

Sectors Partnerships: Regional collaborations of business and industry, with workforce development, economic development, and education to ensure that workers are prepared to meet the growing demands of specific industry sectors within a geographic area of Colorado, as defined by the industry sector.
