Meet Suzanne*

Workforce Challenge

Suzanne* was an at-risk high school student and she was considering dropping out of school. Because of her family situation she had missed an excessive amount of class days, causing her to fall behind academically.

Workforce Solution

Suzanne was enrolled in the Fast Track Academy Program, a drop out prevention program which is financially supported in a joint effort through Jobs for TN Grads and the WIA Program at the TN Career Center. The Fast Track Academy Program is not an easy way out; it is faster for those who need to catch up, but is not easier. With the assistance of Fast Track staff, students move through online curriculum at their own pace. Suzanne began to complete required coursework through the program.

Outcomes & Benefits

Suzanne has now received her diploma, but said she would not have graduated without the Fast Track Academy Program. Through Fast Track, these High School students are empowered to push through it all and go out there and make their dreams come true.
