Meet Chantel

Workforce Challenge

Chantel is in our WIOA inCompass Program. Chantel came to our program needing her GED and had absolutely no work history nor a focus for what she wanted to pursue for a career pathway.

Workforce Solution

Up to this point, Chantel has earned her GED and gone through extensive career exploration to identify Early Childhood Education as a potential interest. She participated in a very successful internship through Bright Horizons, a local high-end preschool center though because of her lack of schooling, they were unable to hire her.

Outcomes & Benefits

Chantel used the skills she learned in her work experience to obtain employment as a pre-school teacher's aid at another day care center in town. She has maintained her employment As well as completed a successful fall 2015 semester at Front Range Community College studying Early Childhood Education. She is continuing her studies this semester and was also recently moved up in her employment to assist in the older children's classroom. Great success!
