Meet Chase

Workforce Challenge

Chase was having a difficult time at Blackford High School. He was unsure how he was going to be able to graduate on time.

Workforce Solution

Chase was referred to the Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) program at WorkOne Indiana. JAG is a school-to-work transition program focused on helping at-risk youth graduate from high school and either find employment or continue their education. Enrollees conduct community service and are counseled in making positive choices for their future. With this assistance and his own determination Chase was able to graduate with his classmates.

Outcomes & Benefits

Since graduating from high school, Chase has continued to excel. He took summer classes at Vincennes University and began performing community service – something that he was required to do with the JAG program but was now doing on his own. The Dean of the University took notice of him and appointed him as a Freshman Student Ambassador. Chase continues to do well and is concentrating his studies in the medical field. Congratulations Chase!
