Meet Lori

Workforce Challenge

Lori was laid off and finding it hard to find full-time employment. She was seeking an administrative/marketing position, but lacked the skills and education needed to be successful.

Workforce Solution

After visiting the Workforce Center, Lori was approved for training assistance and began the Marketing/Management program at Butler Community College.

Outcomes & Benefits

While in training, Lori was hired by a company as a QMS Document Coordinator earning $19.00 per hour. Lori continued to take classes and finished her Associate Degree. Upon degree completion she received a pay raise and she is now making $22.00 per hour. Because of her success Lori and her husband were able to buy their first home.
