Workforce Challenge

Jeff came to the Workforce Center nearly a year after he was laid off. He was searching for jobs and receiving unemployment benefits, but he was interested in training for a new career in healthcare. As a father of two, he needed assistance.

Workforce Solution

After completing career assessments and visiting with a Workforce Professional, Jeff identified a local nursing program and established a plan to achieve his career goal. The Workforce Center helped Jeff with tuition, fees, and textbooks and a Workforce Professional monitored his progress and helped with the barriers he faced while completing training.

Outcomes & Benefits

Upon graduation from the program, Jeff quickly found work with a local hospital as a registered nurse earning $22.77 per hour.
