Meet Lalita

Workforce Challenge

Lalita is a C.N.A for a traveling nursing agency. Lalita wanted to obtain her C.M.A license to make more money at her current job. Lalita is a single parent and needs a better paying job to support her family.

Workforce Solution

Lalita was enrolled in the WIA program thru Kansas WorkforceONE in Garden City, KS. Lalita was assisted in enrolling in the C.M.A program at Garden City Community College. She passed the class and obtained her C.M.A license.

Outcomes & Benefits

Lalita is making more money at her current job due to the fact of being able to attend the C.M.A class and obtain her license, but would like to obtain her LPN / RN licenses. Lalita was very excited to be able to obtain her C.N.A & C.M.A licenses and is looking forward to getting her LPN / RN training and becoming a RN at a local hospital in her town. By continuing to move up the career ladder, Lalita is finding herself becoming closer to being able to achieve her goal of comfortably supporting her family.
