Meet Macrina

Workforce Challenge

Macrina is currently employed as a C.N.A. but would like to advance in her chosen field. To do so she decided to continue her education and obtain her C.M.A. license in order to make more money at her current employer. In order for Macrina to get her C.M.A. license she would need to obtain training.

Workforce Solution

Macrina enrolled in the WIA program thru KansasWorkforceone in Garden City, KS. Next she enrolled in C.M.A. class at Seward County Community College / Area Technical College. Macrina passed her class at SCCC and is now a licensed C.M.A.

Outcomes & Benefits

After getting her CMA, Macrina, successfully transitioned to a CMA position at her current job and has decided to go on to become an LPN. She is currently enrolled at Seward County Community College for her LPN pre-requisites and plans to obtain her LPN / RN license.
