Workforce Challenge

Christopher was struggling with the financial resources to complete the remaining three semesters of his RN training program. He was only working two days a week and his spouse did not earn enough money to support the household and make tuition payments.

Workforce Solution

Christopher was able to access the PACES grant through the Workforce Center to assist with training expenses. PACES also helped with the cost of fuel, as he was traveling for his classes and clinical sites. This supportive service was a great asset to his completion success, as this extensive travel would have been much more difficult without this additional support.

Outcomes & Benefits

Upon completing his training program, Christopher was hired as an RN for a new healthcare facility. Christopher expressed his excitement for the opportunity and anticipates stability and self-sufficient wages to support his family.
