Amy had many years of experience in the food service industry, including management positions. However, finding herself unemployed Amy wanted to change careers and sought an administrative position. She needed help transfering the skills she had and making them relevant to a new industry.

Workforce Solution

When the Re-employment Eligibility and Assessment (REA) program required Amy to visit the Workforce Centers of South Central Kansas she learned about the resources available to help her with her job search. Amy worked one-on-one with a case manager to review her resume. Amy attend multiple job search workshops and created an account with KANSASWORKS.com.

Outcomes & Benefits

Amy's resume was found by an employer on KANSASWORKS. Following a successful interview, she was offered a supervisor position in an office environment earning more than $32,000 per year.
