When Brandyn came to the Workforce Centers of South Central Kansas he was working part-time as a waiter and part-time in an entry level healthcare position to support himself. Brandyn wanted to obtain his BSN and RN license to expand his career opportunities and work full-time in the healthcare industry.

Workforce Solution

With tuition assistance from the Workforce Centers, Brandyn was accepted into Wichita State University's BSN program. To ensure his success and alleviate any barriers to completing the program, the Workforce Centers also helped Brandyn with testing fees, the cost of books, uniforms, background checks and immunizations.

Outcomes & Benefits

Brandyn was able to gain employment at one of the major medical centers in the Wichita area. He was hired as an RN, working full-time earning $19 per hour.
