Meet Timothy

Workforce Challenge

Timothy had been laid off for more than six months. Things didn't seem to be getting any better as the former aircraft worker was being denied for positions that he thought he would be a good fit.

Workforce Solution

Timothy visited the Wichita Workforce Center and found out he was eligible for the TAA program. One of the programs benefits was the possibility for on the job training (OJT), which he applied for.

Outcomes & Benefits

After completing the OJT process, including an interview, he was not offered the OJT position. Instead, he was hired on with the company earning $45,000 per year (a higher wage than he was previously earning).
