Meet Tristen

Workforce Challenge

When Tristen initially visited the Workforce Center, she was employed only part time making $10/hr. Her goal was to obtain employment in the Healthcare field, but lacked the resources in order to do so.

Workforce Solution

Tristen was able to qualify for the KHPOP program, which focuses on assisting participants with training in Healthcare to obtain employment at a self sufficient wage. KHPOP was able to assist Tristen in working toward her goal of becoming a Registered Nurse.

Outcomes & Benefits

After successfully obtaining her Registered Nursing license, Tristen was able to obtain a promotion with her employer, increasing her wage per hour to $16, plus bonuses based on services provided. Tristen is now employed at a self sufficient wage and is happy to be doing the work that she wants to do.
