Meet Todd

Workforce Challenge

Customer was unemployed and in need of training to pursue a career as an EMT. Supporting himself on only his unemployment benefits and his wife's small income, there were no financial means to pay for the education on his own.

Workforce Solution

Todd qualified for the KHPOP program for healthcare related training based on his low income. These funds were used to assist him in pursuing an associate's degree for EMT.

Outcomes & Benefits

With his experience in training, and the degree he achieved, Todd was able to obtain two separate jobs as an EMT as well as another opportunity as a monitor technician at a local hospital. Todd is now making almost $50,000 a year after previously relying on unemployment benefits.
