Meet Amber
Workforce Challenge
Amber was laid off from a local aircraft company the end of 2010. She enrolled in the TAA program in 2011.
Workforce Solution
She decided to change her career field and entered into a nursing training program. Amber was eligible to receive childcare and transportation benefits while attending training which helped decrease her out of pocket expenses.
Outcomes & Benefits
With the assistance of the TAA program and her family Amber successfully completed her training program, and was offered a full time Registered Nurse position at a leading hospital in the local area. Amber is now suitably employed making 90% of the wage from her trade impacted employer. Amber is very grateful for the TAA program and the assistance that was provided to her.
