Meet Timothy

Workforce Challenge

Prior to being let go by RG Steel Timothy went to the seminars held at the RG Steel site where he met Dee McCrae from the Susquehanna Workforce Network. She gave him her contact information and told him to call her as soon as he was unemployed.

Workforce Solution

Timothy contacted the Susquehanna Workforce Network on September 3, 2012 and Mrs. McCrae schedule a meeting with him to discuss his strategy for finding employment and educational opportunities.

Outcomes & Benefits

Timothy was lucky and found a job with an engineering firm who was looking to hire in the near future and the Susquehanna Workforce Network worked with his new employer by paying them a portion of my pay as on-the-job training incentive so they would hire him right away. Timothy stated, “Everything Dee McCrae and the Susquehanna Workforce Network did was done quickly and in a professional manner and helped me find a great job. I started my new job on November 5, 2012. Finding a new job is definitely a full time job and the Susquehanna Workforce Network was there to help me in every aspect. The online network and information was a great too l was able to see what jobs are available, it was like one stop shopping. It is a hard job market out there, but I would encourage everyone from RG Steel and any unemployed person to take advantage of the Susquehanna Workforce Network. I want to thank Mrs. McCrae and the Susquehanna Workforce Network for everything they did for me.”
