Meet Kim

Workforce Challenge

Kim E. was unemployed and requested information regarding training to enhance her employment marketability. Kim E.was interested in transitioning to the healthcare industry but needed training in the field. Kim E. also requested assistance with her résumé.

Workforce Solution

Liberty Center staff provided résumé critique and revision, MWE assistance, employment leads, and referral to professional development seminars. Ultimately, Kim E. was referred to WIA Intensive services for training. Kim E. came to the Baltimore County Workforce Development Center as a result of her interaction with the Rosedale branch of the Baltimore County Public Library and their relationship with our Mobile Career Center (MCC). After critiquing Kim E. résumé and suggesting revisions be made; staff created a revised résumé for Ms. Kim E. and she was referred to WIA Intensive services for training opportunities in the healthcare field.

Outcomes & Benefits

Kim E. began receiving assistance with her employment and training goals in July 2013 and she received approval for Medical Assistant training in June 2014. She recently began a part-time job with a catering company to help support herself through school. She recently sent Mr. Smith an email to thank him for his assistance. "I have been really busy attending school F/T and working P/T for a catering company. Thank you for everything you have done to help me in the job search process."
