Meet Tremere...

Workforce Challenge

Tremere O. was residing at Sarah’s Hope at Hannah More Homeless Shelter in Reisterstown. She requested résumé assistance, employment and interview advice along with training information. Her goal was to secure sustainable employment so that she could transition out of the shelter.

Workforce Solution

The shelter manager referred Tremere to Baltimore County’s American Job Center (AJC) Mobile Career Center (MCC) where she received résumé critique and revisions, employment leads, community resource information, advice for interviewing effectively and a referral to Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) training.

Outcomes & Benefits

MCC staffer, Anthony Smith, began assisting Tremere with her job search needs in July of 2015 via the MCC, which visits Sarah’s Hope at Hannah More regularly. She received and accepted an employment offer at a local grocer and began working later that month. When she secured an interview with ALDI, she was equipped with interview advice and resource information in preparation for the interview. And finally, Tremere was also registered for a Career Orientation seminar at an AJC.
