Meet Joyce

Workforce Challenge

Joyce is a Clinical Social Worker and had become unemployed in June 2016. Joyce landed an interview with Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and sought interview advice from the Baltimore County American Job Center in order to prepare. She learned of our available services and resources after attending a Department of Labor Licensing and Regulation (DLLR) Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) Workshop in August.

Workforce Solution

Job service staff initially provided résumé development and job search strategies services to Joyce in January 2014, at the Liberty Center. Joyce secured employment in May of 2014, and worked until June of 2016. She contacted the Liberty Center again and requested advice regarding an upcoming interview with Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Staff reviewed some potential interview questions and discussed potential responses to the questions.

Outcomes & Benefits

Joyce received and accepted an employment offer from Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in September 2016 as a Clinical Social Worker, OBGYN/ Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
