Meet Lyudmila

Workforce Challenge

Lyudmila was laid off from Global Payments in April of 2016 when they shut down their regional office in Owings Mills, resulting in 334 layoffs.

Workforce Solution

Lyudmila was able to receive a host of services from the Hunt Valley AJC such as résumé assistance, interview preparation which included a staff hosted mock interview panel, ProveIt assessment, and referral to AJC onsite employer recruitments. The Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation hosted a Global Payments Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) Orientation at the Hunt Valley American Job Center (AJC) in late December. This orientation was for impacted workers from Global Payments that may be eligible for Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) under TAA Petition 92263. Lyudmila attended this orientation as she was seeking full-time employment and guidance regarding her employment search.

Outcomes & Benefits

With the assistance and guidance of the Hunt Valley AJC Team Lyudmila began work in April with WMS Partners.
