Workforce Challenge

He was referred to Larimer County Economic Workforce Development/Employment First. He participated with Employment First while completing his degree disposition and getting his Doctorate of Philosophy. He did some volunteering work at the Wildland Restoration so he could continue doing work in his field. 

Workforce Solution

Daniel completed his disposition and was referred to an internship position through the Rehire Colorado Program he received an internship at Rocky Mountain Research Station. Daniel was an intern Research Assistant for 6 months. The Employment First/Rehire Colorado staff help him with resume and job searching in his field. 

Outcomes & Benefits

Through teamwork and partnering, Daniel was able to gain employment with UNC, the job started in March, he will be working until his career/dream job starts in June working for USDA Forest Service, Forest Help Protection, he will be an Entomologist in Odgen, UT. Daniel will be working 40/hrs a week making 60K a year. Daniel will be moving and getting a place to live and continue his career in the field he went to school for and continue pursuing abilities and interests.
