William started coming to Michigan Works! right after he was released from prison. He was having a hard time locating employment, but was diligently job searching and applying.
Workforce Solution
When he heard about the Class Room Training program, he applied and was able to get assistance paying for his CDL course, as well as supportive services (such as mileage reimbursement). With CDL licensed drivers in such short supply, William was able to get employment offers even before he completed the course.
Outcomes & Benefits
William completed his coursework right when COVID-19 started to hit Michigan. He aced his CDL license test and immediately had multiple job offers lined up.
