Donald had moved to Lakewood from Steamboat Springs to help out
family. Donald quickly realized he needed to reinvent himself as he was
having a hard time finding employment as a self-taught auditor. That's
when he came to the Jefferson County Business & Workforce Center
(BWC) for help
Workforce Solution
Donald was given an interest profiler and discovered he is very conventional,
realistic, and investigative. All good traits for a future in IT. Through one on one
appointments, he researched job descriptions and training providers and
landed on the Security Analysts program at Red Rocks Community College.
Outcomes & Benefits
Donald graduated with an overall 3.48 GPA earning his AAS Cyber Security
degree. Through BWC, Donald received financial assistance as well as
tutoring, workshops, and hiring events. With all the assistance, Donald
attributes most of his his success to the career guidance and one on one
counseling he received.
